Ducati states a tightening torque of 186Nm but no Loctite. I decided to ad a drop of Loctite 243 (Medium strength oil resistant) just to be sure. I have heard of several Ducati owners that have suffered from loosening alternator nuts.
My home made tool for holding the alternator rotor now came to use and was found to be working perfectly! A long bolt in one of the engine mounting holes acted as a support for the tool.
